Numa numa
Yeah, it’s another post where I wax poetic about YouTube.
Before I begin, there’s this:
Everyone I know says the same thing. They start it out thinking they’ll only watch the first ten minutes or so, and they wind up watching the entire thing. If you’ve got 55 minutes, this one is well worth it.
I am so in love with people on YouTube. Vloggers are so much braver than me. I can hide behind a screen name and a text blog, but they’re right out there, their face for the world to see.
I don’t see a strong linked in community of adoption vloggers on YouTube as yet, the way we have on our blogs, but I’m thinking (hoping) that may change in the next year or so. While it’s healing and cathartic to vent, poetic or otherwise, about adoption via text, I think it takes real balls to put your face up there and lay it out unedited. These are balls that I do not possess.
These folks do though, so I wanted to show them a little love. Some vlog only about adoption, most vlog about life in general with an adoption video or two thrown in. Some are incredibly prolific while others only have one or two videos posted. But I wanted to get them all in one post because they represent to me an interesting progression in our community and the internet – from usenet to the mailing lists to the forums to the blogs, and now this. So take a visit and hit that subscribe button on their channels if you’re so inclined.
As usual I know I’ve missed people, so if you’re not on this list and you’ve got a channel, yell at me in comments and I’ll be sure to add you.
And thank you, for being so incredibly brave to take this next step in getting your voices heard. I’m very grateful.
nu ma, nu ma, nu ma iei.

numa numa.
You again open my eyes.
Let's go dancing.
:)
I want to, but I'm too shy. :)
I keep thinking about it though, I play around with the idea of doing one with some new yorkers for a2277, but I'm just really swamped right now. Or maybe that's an excuse because I'm too shy :)
thanks T! i want to get mine going more... i kept saying "after the protest" and now here I am, after the protest, wondering what to say when the red light turns on. roflol.
