And all I knew was you

She's a lot like me.

It's girly-girl girls weekend at the beach condo.

They drink a little too much, laugh a little too loud, and stay up way too late.

She takes the girls to concerts this weekend. It doesn't matter that the "girls" are all in their late 30's and early 40's, it's still a girl power kind of thing.

This year they're seeing The Moody Blues. 5th row center. Damn.

She loves doing this for them. I know how she feels. I remember the Warped Tour years, and how it felt to be the cool parent. I wouldn't mind still doing it, it just doesn't get any better than taking a group of your family to a concert.

This is an annual event. No boys allowed. All the girly girls in the family go.

Except me.

I get to watch via Facebook.

Honestly, it's hard to believe I'm related to these people. After all this time, they still don't know to edit their privacy settings?

I'm sorry. That sucks.

And I have to note the moderation word for me is "decrust". Ick.

(((Hugs)))
My whole first family lives in the same town as I do and I deal with the same "news" a lot and so wish I could be as close to them as they are with each other. It hurts, even after being "in reunion" for 20 years. Sometimes I just want to erase myself from FB.

Makes me almost happy that both of my bsis's're too pissed off to give a toss about our respective parents - at least it doesn't get shoved in my face.

A little late to to this 'cause I'm an LJer more than a Blogger, per se, but you know damn well (I hope) that you have my love and thoughts at a time like this (and yeah, I also know they mean almost jack shit 'cause I ain't them <wry smile>)).

xx

Ugggghhhhh...I know how you feel. Although it kills me to see my "happy family" doing things without me, I am glad I get to spy on them via technology.

That had to have hurt. Thank you for being so open about it. It was great food for thought.

Oh. my. God.

I am so sorry. I'm speechless.
